The short version

Seal's published plans top out at 500 active subscriptions for $24.95 a month with no transaction fee. Subi's plans have no subscriber cap.

Within Seal's published range, their monthly fee is lower than ours. Past 500 subscriptions, their pricing is custom and unpublished.

Seal gives 30 days to trial; we give 7 plus a 3-month money-back guarantee.

These are genuinely different pricing models. Seal prices by how many subscribers you have; Subi prices by how much subscription revenue you process.

What you would actually pay

Monthly cost at different volumes of subscription revenue processed. Subi figures from our own billing configuration; Seal's Legend plan ($24.95/mo for up to 500 active subscriptions) shown for reference. Seal prices by subscriber count, not revenue, so the comparison is approximate. Both checked 1 September 2026.

Seal's figure is the same across the whole table because their pricing does not depend on revenue. It depends on how many active subscriptions you have: up to 500 on the Legend plan. Past 500, you contact them for custom pricing. A store doing $100,000 a month in subscription revenue very likely has more than 500 active subscribers, so this table overstates how far the published plan reaches. Neither app charges a per-order fee.

Where Seal is the better choice

We would rather you pick correctly than pick us.

  • You have fewer than 500 active subscribers and want to keep costs as low as possible. $25 a month with no transaction fee is hard to beat.
  • You want a longer trial. 30 days is over four times our 7-day trial, even with the money-back guarantee behind it.
  • You are already running Seal and it is working. Migration is real work and inertia is a legitimate answer.

Where Subi is the better choice

The cases where a different pricing model and no subscriber cap point our way.

  • You have more than 500 active subscribers or expect to get there soon, and you want published pricing that covers you without a negotiation.
  • You prefer pricing tied to revenue rather than headcount. A subscriber count cap means you pay the same whether each subscriber spends $5 or $500 a month, and it forces an upgrade conversation every time you cross a threshold.
  • You want subscriptions, memberships and bundles from one app rather than assembling them.

If you do decide to move

Subscription migration is not a CSV import. Existing contracts have to keep billing on their own schedules, with their own discounts, without asking your customers to re-enter anything.

2

We map your existing plans, discounts and billing dates before anything moves.

3

Contracts transfer with their schedules intact, subscribers do not re-subscribe and do not re-enter payment details.

4

We stay on it through the first billing cycle, which is the one where problems actually surface.

Questions merchants ask

Will my subscribers have to sign up again?

No. Contracts move with their existing billing dates and discounts. Asking subscribers to re-enter payment details is how a migration loses customers, so the process is built to avoid it.

Is Subi cheaper than Seal?

Not within Seal's published range. Up to 500 subscribers, their flat fee is lower than any Subi plan. The difference is what happens past 500: our pricing is published and scales with revenue, theirs is custom and unpublished.

Why is this comparison harder than the others on this site?

Because the two apps price on different axes. Seal prices by subscriber count; Subi prices by subscription revenue. A store with 200 subscribers spending $50 each and a store with 200 subscribers spending $5 each look the same to Seal and very different to Subi. Neither model is wrong, they just answer different questions.
