Fixed: Smart Recovery emails now send fully in French for French-locale customers
Smart Recovery, Subi's automated payment-recovery sequence for failed subscription charges, sends up to six emails over its recovery window. Until now, a subscriber whose storefront locale starts with fr received those emails in English rather than French whenever their shop was using Subi's own default recovery email text.
Those emails now send fully in French for a French-locale customer, on shops that haven't replaced Subi's default text with their own copy. English-locale customers at the same shop see no change, and nothing about when an email sends, how many retries run, or what a customer is charged moves, only the language the subscriber reads.
The gap reached real volume: 32,883 French-locale customers across 495 shops run Smart Recovery with Subi's default copy, and 838 recovery sequences went out to French-locale subscribers at 62 of those shops in the last 90 days. Each of those sequences, previously delivered in English, now reads in French end to end, for a merchant selling into France, Quebec, or any other French-speaking market.
