Another card, one tap

A subscriber whose renewal failed because of their card no longer has to fix or replace that same card to get unstuck, if another payment method is already saved to their account.
In the customer portal, the Pay now banner on a failed renewal now opens a dialog listing every eligible saved payment method on the subscriber's account. Choosing one and confirming charges the failed renewal against that method instead. If the charge goes through, the renewal is marked paid and recovery closes normally; if it's declined, the subscriber sees that outcome directly and can choose another method to try.
This closes a real gap: across 91 days of recovery data, roughly 1 in 7 contracts currently in recovery belong to a subscriber who already has another chargeable method saved, but was never offered it. Fixing a failed renewal has always meant updating the one card Subi already knew had failed; for those subscribers, this removes an unnecessary step entirely.
The charge only happens when the subscriber themselves presses to pay, never automatically, and shows up as a normal successful payment on their recovery history. This rides the existing Update Payment method permission on your account; merchants who already have it off won't see the new option. No change to your Payment recovery settings is required.
