See which card pays

Customer PortalRetention
Combine subscriptions now shows which card pays, and lets subscribers choose

Combine subscriptions lets a subscriber holding two compatible subscriptions at your store fold them into one, moving every line onto the surviving subscription. Until now, the combine offer could only be shown to subscribers whose two subscriptions already shared a payment method, since the card didn't say which saved card would end up paying.

The combine card now names the card that pays under each date option you're offered. If your subscriber's two subscriptions already deliver on the same date, the card lets them pick which of their two saved cards should pay going forward, instead of silently keeping whichever subscription happened to be older.

This also opens up combining to more pairs than before: two subscriptions on different saved payment methods, or one with a discount Shopify has marked as used up, can now be offered the combine card too. A pair where either subscription is in payment recovery is still never offered it.
