Storefront widget: regional Shopify locales now show your translated text, not English
If your store's published Shopify locale was a regional variant, for example pt-BR or pt-PT for Portuguese, zh-CN for Chinese, or nb for Norwegian, the subscribe-and-save widget's standard labels (discount wording, frequency options, and the rest) showed up in English instead of your language.
The widget's default wordings are stored under base language codes (pt, zh, no), and the lookup only matched a store's exact published locale code, with no fallback to the base language. A regional code found nothing, so every standard label fell back to its English source text; only labels you had customized yourself, which use a separate per-shop path, kept their translated wording.
Regional locales now fall back to their base language's defaults, so pt-BR and pt-PT both get the Portuguese wording, zh-CN gets Chinese, and nb gets Norwegian. This is seeded only for regional variants of languages Subi already ships; a locale with its own dedicated set of translations, such as zh-TW, keeps those untouched.
This applies automatically. There's nothing to reconfigure on an affected store.
