Smart Recovery configuration now works for add-on plan subscribers
Merchants who activated Smart Payment Recovery through an add-on purchase can now configure all recovery settings without hitting a permission error.
If you purchased Smart Payment Recovery as a standalone add-on and tried to configure recovery settings — such as the recovery window, custom sender email, fallback behavior, or pre-dunning alerts — you would have received a permission error that prevented saving. The same error blocked switching from the legacy retry system to smart recovery.
This has been fixed. The permissions check now correctly recognizes add-on grants alongside plan-level and user-level permissions, so add-on subscribers can configure all smart recovery settings without interruption.
If you were affected, revisit Billing → Payment Recovery in your Subi admin to complete your setup.
