Your Subi customer subscription portal now supports multiple languages — configure translations in the admin and subscribers see a language selector to choose their preferred language, which is remembered across visits.
The Subi customer portal now speaks your subscribers' languages. You can configure translations for each locale you support and your subscribers will see a language selector in the portal — letting them choose their preferred language, which the portal remembers across future visits.
For merchants: configure translations in the admin
The Subi admin now includes a per-language translation editor. For each locale your store has enabled, you can provide localized versions of the portal text your customers see. When a subscriber picks a language, the portal loads its content in that locale.
For subscribers: a language selector in the portal
Subscribers on stores with multiple configured locales see a language picker in the portal. Selecting a language immediately reloads the portal content in that language. The choice is saved, so the portal opens in the right language next time.
Accessibility and analytics
Language switches include an accessibility announcement so screen-reader users are aware of the content update. Language-selection events are tracked.
Who it affects
This update covers both the Subi standalone portal (the email-link portal your subscribers access directly) and the Subi customer-account extension (the portal embedded in Shopify's new customer accounts page). If your store sells in multiple languages and you have translations set up, the language selector activates automatically with no additional configuration needed.
Earlier this year we launched multi-language support for the storefront widget (the subscribe button on product pages). This update brings the same native experience to the portal, so subscribers who chose a language at checkout see that language followed through to their subscription management page.
