Offer a discount to save a cancelling subscriber

The cancellation flow can now offer a percentage or fixed-amount discount as a save offer when a customer starts to cancel.

When a customer starts to cancel, you can now offer them a discount to stay. Add the new Discount treatment to your cancellation flow (Retention → Cancellation flow → add a Treatment → Discount).

Set up the offer

The discount treatment mirrors the offer you already configure for Win-Back campaigns:

  • Discount type — a percentage or a fixed amount.
  • Value — the percentage off, or the amount in your store currency.
  • How long it lasts — apply the discount to a set number of upcoming orders.

A customer who accepts keeps their subscription and Subi applies the discount straight to their Shopify subscription contract.

Built-in guardrails

  • Once per subscription, ever. A subscription can receive a cancellation discount at most once in its lifetime, so repeat cancellations can't be used to stack discount after discount.
  • Plays well with your other treatments. The discount offer no longer blocks the other treatments in your flow, so a customer who declines the discount can still be shown a pause, a skip, or a frequency change.

Pair it with your other save offers so every customer who tries to cancel sees a reason to stay.
