Customers can request a product swap from the portal

Subscribers can now request a product swap from the portal or customer account — browsing products that match their subscription frequency, seeing applicable discounts, and swapping per line — with a merchant toggle to allow or block swaps.

Customer PortalRetention

Subscribers can now swap a product in their subscription right from the customer portal or their Shopify customer account — no support ticket required. When a customer asks to change what's in their box, they submit a swap request and pick the replacement themselves.

A better swap experience for customers

  • Only relevant products — the swap screen shows products whose selling plans match the subscriber's current frequency, so the swap stays compatible with their schedule.
  • Discounts shown up front — any subscription discount that applies to the new product appears in the swap view, so customers see the real price before they confirm.
  • Per-line swaps — a quick-swap action on each subscription line lets a customer change one item without touching the rest of the order.

You stay in control

A merchant toggle lets you decide whether customers can swap products at all. If you'd rather review every change, turn swaps off and customers keep using the rest of the portal as usual; turn it on and they can self-serve.

This cuts down on the "can you change my product?" messages while keeping every swap on a frequency and price you've already approved.
